February 7, 1927 - March 12, 2022

Madeline Rozena Williams was born February 7, 1927, to the late Cass and Janie Williams in Johnson City, TN. She was called home to be with the Lord on March 12, 2022. Madeline gave her life to the Lord in her teens. She was a talented musician. She played the guitar for many years. She was married to the late Bishop Ozell Carter for about twenty years. They had a wonderful life together. She was a member of Church of our Lord Jesus and was the chief musician for the church. After Bishop Ozell's death, she remained at Church of our Lord Jesus under the pastorate of Cora Lee Hamilton. Madeline was injured in a home accident a year and a half ago, and resided in NHC Healthcare until her passing. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Forney and Mrs. Ruby Rollins; two brothers, Lewis Williams and James Williams; along with her parents, Cass and Janie Williams. She leaves to mourn her passing, a loving sister, Shelby Redd; a special niece, Sharon Mayo; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Madeline will truly be missed by All! The family wishes to thank all the staff of NHC and Hospice for your care; a special Thanks to Mr. Sam White, a special friend! Services for Madeline Carter will be conducted Thursday, March 17 at 12 pm from Grace Temple Church, 208 Garden Dr., Johnson City, TN. The family will receive friends from 11 am until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Limestone, TN.
