Henry Ronald Posey son of John Henry Posey and Minnie Charles Posey, left this world August 25, 2019 leaving behind his loving wife of 53 years Nancy Susan Akins Posey, daughter Mesha Yevette Wiseman(Kris), and granddaughter Sarah Posey Wiseman. Two sisters Treva Kay Edmonds (William) and Stephania Clapp. Sister-in-laws Janice Wells(Harlan), Brenda Charles (James) and Betty Robinson. Brother-in-laws Terry Akins(May) and John Akins. Special friend Larry Black. Henry was a kind, loving man who enjoyed spending time with his family in Greeneville and the Smith/Charles Family Reunions where he could visit with cousins and other relatives. He loved spoiling his nieces and nephews by taking the boys fishing and bringing gifts to the girls. He graduated from George Clem High School in Greeneville, where he played basketball. Henry loved working with his hands. Even as a youngster, he loved taking things apart and putting them back together just to see what made them function. He enjoyed experimenting with new recipes, so he could add his special touch to them. We will truly miss our brother, uncle, and cousin. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30am Wednesday September 4, 2019 at the Birchette Mortuary Chapel in Johnson City. The family will receive friends from 10:30am until 11:30am at the chapel prior to the service.
