Ms. Pamela Bolden

Pamela Jo (Goines) Bolden affectionately known as “Pam,” gained her heavenly wings on November 6, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital in Bristol, TN. She was born on June 21, 1956, in Johnson City, TN, to the late Claude and Virginia Goines, Pam was the youngest of twelve children and a bright light to all who knew her. Pam was a graduate of Science Hill High School in Johnson City, Tennessee in 1974. From an early age, she displayed a love for learning, music, and faith—qualities that would define her life and the way she touched others. Pam dedicated her gifts to the Lord, serving faithfully through song and prayer. She was a member of several church choirs throughout her life. Her voice was an instrument of praise, and her prayers were powerful- filled with compassion, conviction, and connection to God. Those blessed to hear her pray often said her words could move hearts and bring peace to weary souls. Pam served as a secretary for Christ Fellowship Church in Flint, Michigan, and later for New Jerusalem Church, where she was also a devoted choir member. Her professionalism, kindness, and unwavering faith made her beloved among pastors, coworkers, and congregants alike. Later, she worked for the State of Tennessee while living in Nashville, where she became an enthusiastic and devoted Tennessee Titans fan—rarely missing a game. Pam married the love of her life, Ronald Arnaz Bolden in 2010, with whom she shared a faith-filled and loving marriage. She adored her husband deeply and honored their union until his passing. Their love was rooted in faith, respect, laughter, and partnership. In recent years, Pam was a proud and active member of The Midst Church in Johnson City, Tennessee, under the leadership of Pastor Jamie Hughes, whom she loved dearly as both pastor and friend. Her church family meant so much to her, and her joy in fellowship was evident to everyone who worshipped alongside her. Pam was also blessed with lifelong friendships, most notably her cherished best friend since the age of 5, Dora Carson, whose loyalty and love remained steadfast throughout her life. Their bond was one of laughter, understanding, and unwavering support—a true example of friendship at its best. Though Pam had no biological children, she poured her heart into her twenty nieces and nephews and their children, loving them as her own. “Auntie Pam” celebrated their accomplishments, guided them with wisdom and prayers, and wrapped them in unconditional love. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Arnaz Bolden; her parents, Claude and Virginia Goines; two sisters, Priscilla Goines and Phyllis Goines Hall; two brothers, Robert Goines and Bill Goines; two nephews, Michael Whittington and Robbie Goines; and one niece, Vicki Hall. Pam leaves to cherish her memory: her brothers: Claude “Honey” Goines and Martin “Doug” Goines; her sisters: Nancy (Norman) Howard, Loretta “Tiny” Goines, Georgia Gillespie, Claudia Goines, and Carrie Whittington; twenty nieces and nephews who were her pride and joy; her devoted and lifelong friend Dora; her loving mother-in-law, Evelyn Ernestine Davis Bolden; sister-in-law, Joyce Marie Bolden; step-daughter, Adriana Camille Dover; special friends; Jackie Hill and The Kirkland Family; a host of extended family, church family, and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
